My husband and I had a movie date last Saturday. We watched X Men: Days of Future Past. I must say, it was awesome. If I am a movie critique, I’ll give them 5 start for everything – graphic design, graphic effects, story line and etc. My husband had goosebumps while watching the movie, and that is a very good sign.
When I watch a movie, I always imagine myself to be part of the movie. How cool would it be to have super powers! If I have a Mutant Gen, I would like to be one part of Wolverine, one part of Phoenix and one part Human.
I adore Wolverine because of his animal keen sense, enhance physical capabilities and healing factors that allows him to recover from any wounds, toxin or diseases which slows down his aging process. As for Phoenix, she is able to read other’s mind (telepathic) and she can also control them without any physical contact (telekinetic). and then, prof. Xavier will come looking for me and recruit me to be one of his X Men team. How cool is that!
Who’s the last person you saw before reading this prompt? Whether a family member, a co-worker, or a total stranger, write a post about what that person is thinking right now.
He left house for work at 8.00 p.m. He must be feeling tired after countless days of lack of sleep. I feel bad for him. He need to work extra hard just to make us feel comfortable and secure. I’m so sorry honey, I promise you I’ll make use of myself and my certificates soon. If I could read his mind, he probably say:
g right now.
I stay up late last night, working on some projects that is due in a couple of days.
I managed to come home last night. At least I get to sleep on a comfy bed and a wife to hug.
But, it’ll be another long day today.
I will be spending the night at the office tonight.
No comfy bed or a wife to hug.
I feel bad for my son, I didn’t get to spend time with him for the past weeks.
This projects are killing me.
I feel bad for my wife, I didn’t get to take her out the past few weeks.
I hope they’ll understand. I am working hard to put food on the table, clothes to wear and a house to live in.
I hope they’ll understand. I am doing this to sustain the future.
I wish that my grandfather was still alive. I was almost two years old when he passed away. My father told me that each time we had the chance to visit him, I’ll always asked him to carry me around for a stroll at a nearby playground. I don’t really have any memory of him. But I wish I do.
If he was still alive, he sure will give me a piece of his good advice. You see, I’m leaving on the edge for quite a while now. My life is a mess. I am happily married and blessed with a wonderful young boy. But, I am affraid that the happiness wont last long. I know that love is not everything in this world. You need to have both; money and love.
Dear love, do you know how smart you are? Well, I know that you are a hard working person, that will try her very best to do what ever she can to achieve her goals. But look at you now. What happen to you? Where is that high spirited girl that I know? Why do you end up at home? What happen in pursuing your ambition? I am sad to see you like this love. As if all of your motivation and determination had banished from your mind.
I know how you feel. I know that sometimes, it is difficult to change. But sometime change can make you a better person. Look at you now, you have no goals and you are stuck at zero. Get up love! I know you can. Go out there and be a part of something big. It’s ok to dream big, because when you dream big, you have a destination to go. I know you can love! You always do find your way. I will always pray that one day, you will make everyone that you know look up to you. Chin up girl! Go make your dream a reality!
I wish he was still alive so that he could say those words to me. I wish that he would take my hand and help me to get out of this mess. I could just wish. I miss you grandpa. I always do.
It’s Teacher’s Day here in Malaysia. I would like to take this opportunity to say my thanks to each teacher that have taught me, inspired me, and encouraged me to be a better person. I could thank you enough.
1. We can eat pork……
depending on the circumstances. By default, the meat of pigs is
in Islam. However, there are exceptions where it can be consumed ie dire circumstances. A clear example would be a “do or die” situation. Literally.
2. We can pray in Hebrew
or in Cantonese. Or in Russian. Or in sign language or just about ANY language in the world! Yes, as Muslims, you are encouraged to learn Arabic as the Quraan(Sacred Book) is written in Arabic (here’s why).
BUT the word is encouraaggeeeee. If you have a language disability or you are just really comfortable in your native language -relax. God gets it. Baby steps.
3. WE DECLARE JIHAD!!!! (On ourselves)
Pay attention to the simplest breakdown of this word that you will remember for the rest of your life.
I did some ‘blog strolling’ this morning when I bump into Lhu Wen Kai ‘s blog. After reading few of his post, I came to realize that he’s not a she, but he is one of the brilliant man I’ve bump into. You could sense the honesty in his writing. The sarcasm makes it even more fun to read. You did a tremendous job man!
The whole damn world is just as obsessed With who‘s the best dressed and who‘s having sex, Who‘s got the money, who gets the honeys, Who‘s kinda cute and who‘s just a mess And you still don’t have the right look And you don’t have the right friends Nothing changes but the faces, the names, and the trends High school never ends
I must say, this is true. Because for the past 11 years, the high school drama thing still exist. My high school (secondary school in Malaysia) was not as pretty as it seems. I was a new girl in school and I was having a little problem adjusting myself at first. I was not very happy with how my parents moved to our new home – they sent me away to my grandma’s house and stay with her until the school terms begins. In other words, I didn’t have the chance to say goodbye to all my friends back at my previous school. So, when the school term started, I was a little upset and down because I don’t know how to start over. So, I was labeled as the snobbish new girl from Subang Jaya (Subang Jaya is known for hipsters and stylish people were from) which is so opposite of me. I was brought up in a modest family. Even some of my classmates are more hipster then I was.
For the past 4 years in secondary school, my life was totally filled with bad memories. Just imagine, one day, a friend who you thought to be your best friend, come to you and say “I think you should change yourself, be more like what we want you to be”. I was devastated and my self-esteem dropped from that moment on. The worst part is when your so call best friend go to your boyfriend and say something bad behind your back. That really hurt, it still hurts until now. It was a lesson for me in not to trust people so much because you’ll end up hurting yourself.
I was lucky to have found them. They are my definition of best friends. They accept me for who I am and we always support each other in what ever we do. I love them.
